Yea, obviously the lens flare would need to be toned down a little bit. Just put on your white gloves, and everything will be just fine. tongue.gif

once the dominion war heats up, DS9 has some of the best drama/writing/action in all of trek lore.

the problem with it is, there's a LOT of filler... and the first 2 seasons kinda meander with nothing going on

Who doesn't love Quark!? Could have had his own spinoff! Filler makes for fun, and makes me savor the few times we get to see the Defiant in action.

You know, Star Trek is fine(though no one is likely to make a better starship bridge simulator than ARTEMIS), but I would rather have a graphically updated Oculus Rift version of the Von Braun.

The only reason why some people don't like DS9 is because it's not the same kind of utopia that Roddenberry envisioned and created with TOS and earlier parts of TNG.

imo if you can get over the fact that DS9 has those non-trek qualities it's probably the best of all the series. Tons of supporting characters, mostly a great cast, main character (and supporting as well) development is best out of all the treks, the setting is interesting with anything from the defiant, to the station itself and the nearby planets, some storyline sprinkled here and there etc. Supporting characters and their actors are what really make the series shine.

imo DS9 > TNG > VOY > TOS and I don't count ENT as Star Trek.

Honestly even though I did enjoy DS9 I found it to be pretty mediocre. Like you said DS9 wasn't very "trek" and many of the good/interesting things in DS9 where done so much better in Babylon 5.

Its always kinda irked me that B5 is falling into such obscurity. It had so much lore and content that was never much explored after the main series came to an close.

I actually think that DS9 did pretty much everything better than B5. Babylon 5's filler was pretty bad and imo the show had much less of interesting character development etc. After they got the shadow war idea rolling the show was pretty straight forward.

DS9 on the other hand had time for for all sorts of interesting side storylines with different characters. Also you can't beat Ferengi episodes for comedic value and some lighthearted fun.

It's sad that we never got any good DS9 or B5 games though (trying to be somewhat on topic here tongue.gif ).

This.

DS9 is also my favorite. Its like Star Trek was finally out of the utopistic/idealistic era, and has got something "realistic".
