Old timer gamer wants to watercool :-) - Page 2

In a similar boat as the OP. Putting my first water cooled system together and it's a first all around as this is my first build all together. I've been posting all over this board with a ton of questions and have gotten a lot of info from the very helpful folks here. D5/MCP655 is the pump recommended most as is Primochill Adv. LRT for the tubbing. I decided on Alphacool for the radiators and Gentle Typhoons for the rad fans with a Lamptron FC5 controller. I'm definitely not an expert by any means but I think I'm going to have a pretty well stocked system from the recommendations of forum members. Good luck!

I got them on Amazon. Also found some available on Performance PCS and Frozen CPU. I happen to have a credit on Amazon and got 5 from them (second party seller) today.

Get them now before those are gone too.

And they are the rare AP-45's at 2150 rpm.
My CW611 can slow them down to about 200 rpm!

I contemplated getting those but figured since I'm going to make myself even more broke and get a fan controller, the AP-30s at 4250 RPM can be scaled down with plenty of extra RPMs at hand should I ever need it in the hotter summer months where my room can and will easily hit high temps.

AP-30's don't really undervolt very well.
You probably won't be able to slow them down below 1500 rpm.
I suggest the AP-45's if you want the fastest GT fan and still be able to bring it to silence.
My Lamptron CW611 can slow down my AP-45's down to a crawling 200 rpm.

Or at least get the 3000 rpm AP-29.
Those should be able to go below 1000 rpm, probably.
