Now, I'm still not sure about the chromatized stuff?

Some of the chromatized stuff is actually Nickel plating mad.gif

I've avoided the whole nickel silver debarkel as I prefer copper to nickel.

Well, corrision can occur as well as other various layers. In my old loop my EK cpu block got corroded despite only using destiller water. I would be the barbs though, necause they were black nickel. In my new loop I dont know, its all copper and fittings are I suspect also nickle plated. So yes stuff can happen and you would never know unless you open the cpu/pgu blocks after some years. Also dont others make WB for that gtx 780 dcII? I mean I only bought EK for my r9 290 because it was discount on it that particular weak, otherwise I would want to have another brand.

As far as I've read, although distilled water initially has low conductivity, it will become more conductive over time, enough so that it can cause corrosion in the loop. That might have been your problem and that's the reason one should flush his loop regularly.

My card uses an Asus custom pcb layout, so that might be the reason whey I've not found any other block that fits.

I've been using DW with PT NUKE-PHN. The PHN variation is a biocide, anti-corrosive with lubricant/surfactant properties.. The active ingredient is benzalkonium chloride, a relatively safe compound.

Ah, thanks! Didn't know about the PHN variation. Think I'm gonna get Mayhems X1 though, because it seems more biodegradable and also becuase PT Nuke is kinda hard to come by around here.
