looking for recommendations for the best case for my matx wc build plans.

Hi guys I have a maximus gene 5 mobo with the i7-3770k and the evga 780 ti classified. I'm thinking of overclocking the cpu to about 4.5-4.8ghz. Also want to overclock the gfx to approx boost of 1300mhz.

Of course all this is intended to go under water. However I am not sure which case to choose to house this all in. Because radiators all have different wattage cooling capacity and for the life of me I'm not sure how many rads I need. I read the sticky but having difficulty trying to make sure everything fit without buying the parts. Please do recommend the reservoir type that would fit too in the case that you recommend.

I need a case that firstly has good quality washable filters that can filter out most dust and easily removable. Secondly I want to go for the smallest case that is sufficient for my purposes yet can fit the rads that can sufficiently give me 10 degree delta temps. Yes and a nice big window if possible so can see all the wc stuff.

I'm really ok with noise so please don't be afraid to recommend fat rads with fat noisy fans to achieve the small case size that I'm looking for.

Other stuff that I have to fit inside are 2x ssd and 2x3.5" hdd and an ax1200 psu. Yes and a 5 1/4 bay fan controller.

Please feel free to ask me more questions to help you make more recommendations.

I think you're looking for a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 wink.gif
Really good case IMO. If you want to go even smaller they have an Arc Mini too...

XSPC Photon 170 would fit nicely. There was a build log I saw here a while ago.
I'll post a link when I find it, so you have an idea of what it looks like.

Yeah, the Arc Midi R2 can fit a 360mm and a 240mm if you remove the hard drive cages, which gives it more than enough headroom for only one CPU and GPU,

Exactly! thumb.gif

Found the build log I was talking about. Nicely done IMO.
He's using the XSPC Photon 170 Res and Bitspower D5 pump combo.

I have just gotten the Fractal Arc Midi R2 case & it is indeed a very nice case. You can fit a 360 in the top but you will loose one of the two Bay slots (I only need one bay slot for an Aquaero 6) so that isn't an issue for me...(there is also a couple of purpose built recesses for two SSD's on the back of the motherboard tray.. which is a nice touch smile.gif )

If you get a 360 Rad that is around the 40mm thickness & put a 25mm fan on it takes it to within a few millimetres of the lowest Bay slot (I found I have about 75 millimetres to play with from the top of the inside of the case to the mounting lug that is in the front bay slots, that is the lower of the slots!!). You do need to push the front panel cables out the way of the rad, but my XSPC AX360 with some 25mm fans on fit in there nicely thumb.gif
