Help with CX600M Power supply

Thread Starter
I have a CX600M that I'm sleeving and ran into an issue. I only have one 8 pin socket available on the power supply but have two 8 pin PCI-E cables. My question is, if I remove the 2 pins that I'm not using off of the 8 pin PCI-E cable and make it a 6 pin can I use that in the remaining 6 pin sockets that are designated for peripherals? Thanks ahead of time.

no

the periferal connectors have 3.3 and 5v outputs along with the 12v (for drives/fans ect..)
the pci-e power connector has only ground and 12v outputs

it should have included a 8pin -> 2x6x+2 for gpus
and 2x 6pin to sata power, and a 6pin to molex

What I have is (2) 8 pin to a 6+2 cable. Not an 8 pin to dual 6+2. I'm trying to avoid having to spend anything more. My other alternative would be to y split all the wires.
