Worth it from this to this?

Would it be even worth it to go from a

3770K
Evga Z75 Motherboard

to a

4770
Msi Z97 Motherboard

This would be for gaming of course :-)

Absolutely no point to switch. You won't see a performance improvement, especially for just gaming.

Agreed your improvement will be but a few frames (1-5 fps) it is best to wait for the haswell-e chipset

My suggestion as to what you could do instead is consider going into WC and OC both your CPU & GPU to higher clock speeds

So the Z97 chipset has nothing important over the Z75?
It is not the chipset that he is telling is not worth it, but the actual processor.

The chipset does have some nice things on it like sata express, but look at the features of your current board and look at the features of the z97 board. Do they warrant spending Another 320-350 on a new cpu plus 150-250 for a new motherboard? I personally don't think so.

Yeah. After looking at everything it seems that it would be best to wait until next year :-)
