When I switch the bios around, it can boot. This is so weird..

Acceptable temperatures for 24/7 on a high OC is no higher than 85C.

If this happens again one more time, I'm going to contact Gigabyte for an motherboard RMA.
What BIOS are you using?
I'm not using of the versions that came out for Broadwell on my UD5H since I'm running a 4790K, and I've had no problems.
What you could try is reflashing both main and backup BIOS...it's easy enough, after all.

If he is stuck in the bootloop it sounds like he is in then he cant get to bios. I was never able to get my backup bios to load because my machine wouldn't post.

I'm currently using the F8 BIOS, I can break the bootloop only if I switch from main bios to backup bios or vice versa.

I can only go down to F7 BIOS.

I refuse to go past F6 till they figure a few things out. But i am likely to change board in the future for this build anyway. As this board doesn't have a readout on it to see what error codes i am getting and there is no place to measure voltages for real overclocking. So looks like a SOC or UDH5 are in my future.

I made the mistake of going F8 and now I'm stuck on f7 which is better then F8 but still bsod like f6. I'm looking forward to moving on from GB. Guess I was spoiled by the Sniper 5 Z87.

This is silly. I have to switch my motherboard BIOS every time I shut off my computer now. I'm going to flash the F7 bios and see how that goes.

Edit: OK, flashed backup BIOS to F7, the one I'm using currently. For some reason I can't get my main bios to post / boot. Ugh, how do I flash the main bios while running the backup bios?

Shut down, flip the BIOS switch to whichever BIOS you want to flash, hit End while booting to enter Qflash.

Not all boards have the switch. Another reason I am looking to change boards.

His sig says UD5H BK. It certainly must have the switch as my plain UD5H does.

Very true. I'm on mobile right now so can't see his sig.
