That's not to say X08 is any good. Setting tWR is a pain. mad.gif

Well for me last night on X04 it was 7 torturous hours and $80 of wasted lin. We have to be missing something but I have literally changed every bios setting. Oh well third time's a charm right, but may take a break from ln2 board but only bought it to avoid Skylake headaches

Tried all five of my PIs (4x 2200C7 and 1x 2300C8) and not one stick would pass 2600 8-12-8 28 88 1T at 1.75V to 1.90V. I'm definitely doing something wrong... mad.gif

so i think i solved the problem and got a stable overclock. it looks as if it was the bios version that was causing the problems.

Well I think I forgot to say my problem is solved for the bios boot loop issue. It only happens when my CPU gets too hot and computer shuts down to prevent damage to CPU. Easy to get out of if you leave computer off for a minute.

Weird how I rma'd the motherboard to gigabyte and they sent it back reporting no problems. Put motherboard back in and it runs perfectly fine.

I'm still running a pre-Broadwell BIOS on my UD5H. (F9h) Mainly because later versions had the cache clock acting differently. Still running 4.7 OC.

Yeah, me too, running the F6 bios on my Gaming 7, and also running a 4.7GHz OC

I have a Broadwell-C. Should it be expected that I can't POST without a BIOS update on my z97 soc force rev 1.0?
