Is the sensor good?
I personally couldn't stand the m65, I sold it and purchased the deathadder 2013 and i have absolutely loved it ever since. A good competitor to the deathadder is the the steel series rival thumb.gif

Logitech G502 Proteus Core might be something for you. Best sensor ever released and it's very heavy.

SteelSeries Rival

Mionix Avior/Naos 7000

Corsair M45

Logitech G502

All have amazing sensors. Roccat Savu, Razer Deathadder 2013 and most of the Zowie mice are great too, just with slightly inferior sensors.

I find the mouse accurate in my games (BF4, Bioshock Infinite, Counter-Strike, the list goes on) and I have had no issue with tracking on any of my surfaces. I actually find the tracking to be better (less finicky) with the M65 compared with the Mamba or Ouroborus.

I think there is a lot of hype about sensors and accuracy when it comes to mice. I think that as long as you are buying a decent quality mouse, having a sensor that is not "top of the line" isn't going to be noticeable or have any impact on how the mouse performs for the average gamer. The whole "high DPI" sensor issue is also exaggerated as I find increasing the DPI above 3000-4000 seems to only add jitter and jump on very small mouse movements.

For reference, I run my quick adjustable DPI settings at 800, 1800 and 2400 depending on if I am infantry (800), tank (1800) or flying(2400) in BF4 with a sensitivity of 20% for infantry and 40% for vehicles. The mouse is buttery smooth and I have no problem getting very fine mouse movements at long distances (sniping, etc).

I forgot to mention that I prefer the corsair software over the bloated Razer Synapse software as well.

M65 has a 9800 sensor. Has random acceleration.

If you like a heavier mouse, the logitech g502. Its sensor has no equal. It's base weight is heavy and if that isn't heavy enough it comes with weights. The cable is thick but its extremely flexible, very high quality cable.
