[The Escapist] DICE to Launch Community Test Platform for Battlefield 4 - Page 4

A beta is a test... it says very clearly that it doesn't reflect the true status of the game.

So, again, *never* buy a game based on the beta... it's a test, a pre-release version that won't reflect the final product. Don't assume anything, wait until release, watch the reviews, watch the gameplay, watch the forums. Don't assume, don't expect...

So in this case, I think you're to blame for your disappointment.

While it may be my fault for assuming, lets not forget Dice put out an equally disappointing bug filled game aka Betafield 4.

I'm not trying to back them up or support them... I think the number of bugs and the fact that so many things broke after apparently getting fixed was bad. That's something that QA should really have picked up... most weren't even things affected by number of players or load.

Emmm... the only way to really test web based things like netcode etc... is to do it live with real people. That's the only wawy to get realistic data, load levels etc...

So many DICE defenders. You squeal like a little girl when they release a broken "pretty"game, you moan at others who don't share your fanboy'ism. I hate this wannabe peasant gaming crowd.

DICE made mistakes, but they're trying WAY TOO LATE to rectify them.

I'm so bored with the constant moaning about the people who are dissatisfied with a game they purchased and "omg, fix the bugs" comments. The point has been noted...and i'm talking about you!

So why do it 7 months after launch, these problems were reported within a week of the games launch.
So Dice responds by trying to fix them 7 MONTHS later rolleyes.gif

I love BF, I always have but after buying BF4 and buying premium I can honestly say EA/Dice will never see a day one order from me. In fact I doubt I'll purchase any future BF titles.

Just how Blizzard tests all of their upcoming patches for WoW. They let the players test it first.

It's too late for me. There is nothing that they can do to lure me back in aside from a 100% refund and a 100% working title. Since either one of those things let alone both will never happen.....I'm out.

They talked a big game and bent many of us over in the process. Perhaps E.A and its shareholders are to blame. Regardless, if it's an E.A published title, I can't help but to look at it disgusted.

i feel ya man, ive been a BF fan since 1942...well, i was a BF fan.
BC2 was the last BF i played hardcore....i bought BF3 and played it for a little and then tapped out.
didnt even look at BF4, the series is dead, i dont care anymore...and most of the other hardcore BF fans i personally know did the same.
