Their M.2 is connected directly to the cpu PCIe at x4, it seems to be the fastest so far. Looking forward to the reviews of the M.2 SSDs.

argh... i dont think ill ever see a dream mobo. im looking at the Z97M OC Formula and my brain is coming up with nothing but fantasy ideas of taking the Z97 and the Z87 versions and fusing them together to get the best of both boards in one

Because getting most from the hardware is tight up with the software, and also Asus hardware/design is still better, so yea.

Generally Asus mobos can only be matched or being followed closely by GB, other brands are still far.

I'm sorry but Asus' bios is weak lol.

I'm on a gigabyte board and I'd still take it any day over an asus bios.

Never liked the mobos that ASRock makes. Will probably go with Gigabyte for the Z97 series.

Subjective explosion what you just said. "It is better, abstractly, I just say it's better". Come back when you have technical arguments, this is a news forum, not a fans forum.

And hardware > worse hardware that runs on software that doesn't offer any benefit to the hardware after the settings are set and done.
