Install windows 7 on 3TB HDD?

Thread Starter
Is it a good idea to install Windows 7 64bit OS on 3TB HDD 7200RPM, 64MB? Will the large hard drive make my system to run slower than the 1TB HDD 7200RPM, 64MB?
I'm planning to install Windows 7 64bit on this:

Thank you.

I can't see it being an issue. As long as you keep the drive in working order (defrag, clean up garbage data, proper cooling), I can't see any issue. The current trend now is to buy a 120/128GB SSD to put your OS and light programs on and put all your heavy media and large programs on the HDD. I saw go this route.

There isn't a noticeable different from the 3TB 7200rpm and 1TB 7200rpm in terms of performance. Install Win7 on the 3TB.

There shouldn't be much difference in speed however you will need to either have a motherboard with UEFI and capable of booting a GPT partition or split the drive into 2 partitions with the boot partition formatted in MBR and less than 2.2TB.
