Asus does not really update the drivers much for their product download section.

You can easily use the latest version.

I haven't been able to find any clarification in regards to this matter, but I did try the latest Realtek HD Audio drivers (not from ASUS), and my sound was awful in CS:GO.

The thing is, Asus Drivers have an AsusSetup.exe & AsusSetup.ini, so I assume the ASUS drivers would better suit ASUS Z97 hardware, rather than downloading from Intel?

They are just repackaged installers, nothing special about them.

Thanks, could never find any info whether there was any benefit of using them.

You ever run into a deal that, even though you don't need the stuff it's too good to pass up. Yep that's me today.

I just bought a Fractal Design Refine R5 in perfect condition with an Asus Z97 Pro Wifi AC for $50 cash. Now, what the heck do I do with them? weirdsmiley.gif

Also included were an Asus Blue ray burner (I don't need one of those either and a card reader with 4 x use 3.0 .
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

980ti/FuryX if you have the dough...

970/390 if you dont

the 390 has 8GB, so it might be the better lower cost choice.

cant believe you got all that for $50..

I like the 390, I had a 290 and loved that. Price to performance the best 2 cards to come out in a long time. I am actually going to buy a 390 for my Skylake system.

I couldn't believe it either. He had it at $100 a few days ago and I was thinking about it seriously and when I saw it at $50 I jumped on it like a fat kid on a Twinkie.

Does anyone know of any 3rd party waterblocks that are compatible with the VRM, NB and SB layout of the ASUS Z97-WS, either as a monoblock or as separate ones.

I know Alphacool makes a ton of these small separate blocks but it's a jungle trying to figure out if anything of that schtuff is actually compatible.

Anyone with hands-on experience or otherwise feel qualified to provide directions would be hugely appreciated.
