Still using my 2700. At 4.3 with a h110 for a year or more now. 56c at its hottest. 5.2 @ 72c but uncertain of voltage needed ..... like 1.5v maybe a bit more. I used the numbers in bios from a youtube video i found so i could see more tweaking .. or not lol.

I can boot i to windows with those same settings at 5.3 but not benchmark stable.

The thing was amazingly cool with that modest clc, I don't recall breaking 80c while priming.

my 4.5Ghz is still solid. i have never experienced any bsod. zero except the time i benched it past 5GHz and had to clean install Windows. i think my psu is to blame why i can't push 5GHz now for benching. i such a wuss in adding more than 1.45v.

one thing, though, i did try 4.8 once and it was clearly snappier than 4.5. i can max out C3 at 4.5 with HT off, so no big deal.

i checked my bios for my settings at 4.5GHz and here they are . . .

CPU Vcore: 1.248v
CPU Vcore Offset: +0.050v
CPU Vcore LoadLine: 100%

for 4.8GHz i use 1.39v.

Been running 4.8 on 1.38~1.39v since this motherboard came out. Can do 5Ghz on 1.42 but would need a better cooler.

just needed this information(if there was any degradation) at/under 1.4v because my case had a bad clearance with my nh d14 and my gpu were 5-10c hotter and that vga fan is noisy without a pair of fans that isolate he noise,my choices were either buy a corsair h100i and keep my case with side panel fans or buy a CM storm scout II advanced/rosewill armor evo and keep my nh d14.and if a better cooling gets higher clock/lower vcore with same clock i would bet for it

In this case the average clock for these under an acceptable vcore is 4.8ghz,i havent started my test of cpu impact on the resolution,in fact my crysis3 weak pount is my gpu,ai get 2gb vram usage at 1080,cpu wise i am fine

It seems that these cpus can keep vcore under 1.4 over years without problems but arent affected by cooling(are they?)

could you try 4.8ghz and check what vcore do you need?,thanksbyw I have the same mobo

1.39V at p95 load. Lighter loads (like AID64 stress) run 1.408V. This is what you are looking for.
And the e3g3 is probably the best performance for $ mobo I've ever come across. thumb.gif
