Powerline Adapter suggestions - Page 2

I would go with something locally that you can return easily and/or cheap just to try.

this set is $25 and has decent reviews. I'm not sure if the higher rated adapters (500mbps) has a different chipset that would help with actual throughput (the set I use is 200mpbs which of course you are limited by the network card interface 10/100 or 10/100/1000).

I use a Cisco pair (non gigabit) around my house. They are certainly better than wifi, but nothing like a real connection. They're 10/100 and are good enough for Steam in home Streaming as well as 1080p movie streaming from my server.

Some outlets work better than others so it requires some trial and error, but my house is also 99 years old (although the wiring is probably from the 1960s)

This one's actually super cheap. I'll try and check it out today.

Edit: I should mention that I need these for gaming. So can you guys tell me your experiences with online gaming using them?
