In cases like this, why don't large sounding boards for the digital community (like Overclock.net) either join in on or host their own petition to stand up against junk like this. Maybe I've missed things in the past, but this would certainly be a great time for us to actually band together against this. Heck, get the Chairman's email and provide a form letter for everyone on here to use and send it to him en masse. People need to take a stand against stuff like this. :|
I, for one, would sign the petition and send out the emails, and anything else I think could be remotely useful in voicing the opinion of those on the ground.
There have been dozens of petitions. The problem is that Tom Wheeler is not an honest man. He is a cable lobbyist who has been paid into this position, and when he retires will get a cushy job at Comcast in return for his excellent work as FCC chairman, in giving them almost unlimited power to screw over their customers.
He should be tried for corruption and shot.
