Galaxy RMA'd me a different card, sort of

Well, about a week ago, I got my Galaxy HOF GTX 770 back from RMA. It was DOA and Galaxy was very prompt with the RMA, which I'm thankful for. But I looked at the card, and it looked different. Some pins were in different places, the colour seemed a bit faded compared to my card I already had, and the LED seemed less bright. Upon further inspection, I found out that the BIOS version is different and they used Elpida memory instead of the Hynix that was on the original card. I think I got a used card back, and of lesser quality then the one I originally purchased. Not very happy about that, I replied to the last email I got from galaxy support saying if I had any problems to email them. So I did, letting them know the concerns, and they asked for pictures of the stickers on the PCB's of the cards, sent them it about 3 days ago, got a response pretty late in the day yesterday saying they would ask the RMA department. After all the good service I get, it just sort of dropped off here. Maybe I'm being impatient (probably am) but I can honestly say I'm not happy I received an older, used card then what I purchased. @Galaxy

Anyone else have an experience like this?

Nope.

Galaxy has been solid for me.. PM me if things don't move in a couple of days as I have some contacts at Galaxy that may be able to expedite the process.... but give it time. They just responded yesterday for Pete's sake. biggrin.gif

I've been out on vacation all this week so they might actually be waiting on my input. Apologies in advance in that's the case, but I'll check into it right away and see what's going on. I do know that all the 770 HOFs currently on hand are from a very recent shipment of new stock, and though it's always possible slight revisions will occur from batch to batch, your replacement should have every ounce of quality and performance as the original.
