Anti Surge protection on P8Z77-V Pro

Thread Starter
There is a setting in BIOS that turns on or eff Anti-Surge protection in case of OV or UV. I do not have a UPS, so should I leave it on or off? I do use surge protectors, although I am not sure if they actually help... I wonder if this setting has an impact on OC capabilities or something similar.

Off-topic, but there is another option in BIOS I am not sure of. Its called CPU Disable Bit. Enabling it prevent some malicious buffer overflow, but I don't know if Enabling also has a cost, like reduced OC or increased latency or decreased performance. Should I leave it enabled or disable it? My specs are in my sig - please recommend based on that!

You want to leave anti-surge enabled. It's kicked in few times for me, for example if I've had my power cable lose.

The Disable bit, either way IMO. It won't affect any OC ability.
