New pc shipped to mom now it won't power on?

I haven't posted here in a while so not sure what is good place for this question.

I built a brand new dual-core 3.0ghz haswell computer for my mom and tested it out: Windows 7 all updates, SSD, 4 gb of ram.
Power button, reset, everything was working. It was a very nice boot up, about 8 seconds maybe.

I logged in to her old pc today to move off old email and bookmarks.
Unplug everything and replace with new pc.
She plugged everything in.
And not a sound was heard when the power button was hit.

Had her take off the side cover after turning power on ps off. She visually inspects wiring on case connectors and nothing is amiss.
Nothing came loose. The only thing I could think was to try to take out the battery but she is couldn't manage that as not all of them just pull out.

The motherboard doesn't have it's own power button so we couldn't try that.
We also tried disconnecting everything but the monitor and the pc and that didn't change anything.

So what am I missing? First time it's every happened after 20 or so pcs built so I'm a bit concerned.
Meanwhile old pc came right back on so not a power issue. Anyone have any ideas or is it off to her local tech?

Try finding where the power button connects to the motherboard, I think it's labeled differently on some mobos, on mine it's JFP1. It's where the case power switch connector goes, remove it and the adapter on the set of mobo pins and get a screwdriver, put the screwdrivers metal end on the pins where the power switch connector would have been. If it doesn't start it's not the power switch.

Hey thanks for responding to my little panic. I tried some other stuff over the phone and nothing worked so she took around the corner where the guy told her "some things were loose".
But at least now it's working. Never had anything come loose in a double-boxed shipment but maybe that's the price of a cheap case. My mom is getting quite old so she can't see those little wires so not much I could tell her to check on that. thx
