Unknown GPU, can't find brand

Thread Starter

Hello people, this image has been released by a Hardware Website challenging it's visitors to find the brand of the manufacturer. I've been searching for the past two days and I can't seem to find anything, a friend said it was linked to the word "jewel" but I'm not sure it's a good path.

I thought you guys might know a bit more than me since I'm new to the whole hardware thing and this GPU looks fairly old (black VGA port, Blue PCB, overall small size)

I've been hovering on overclock.net for a while and this is my real first post, english isn't my main language so I was a bit hesitant about going on english forums.

Thanks for the help, guys !

I can't help with the GPU issue, but I must say that your english is much better than most people's in the US.

if you install it in to a computer then check the hardware id in the properties screen you can go over to here

and input the numbers and find out who/what made it.

He doesn't have the card, it sounds like a contest or something. I would guess the card is upside down and the letters read - - - -y & c - - - - - ...... not that many exact letters but that might help a bit.

Hey guys, just updating you.

So after hours of research if finally found out that this card was a Rendition Vérité V2200 GPU manufactured by Jazz Multimedia under the name "Bonny and Clyde" (not Bonnie), thus the *****Y & C*****. (at somewhere near 10PM CET, the challenge was closed at 12 PM CET tongue.gif)

Turns out that it was the right answer, and that I'm selected among the 2000 people who dared particpate (normally this number is really higher but it seems people got scared) and we're now 92 to enter a raffle for 11 prizes.

Here's another picture of the card that the website gave us after closing the entries.

And I'm surprised this card ever existed !

Even though none of you really helped me (since your answers came in too late) I still appreciate that you guys tried, thanks a bunch.
