My concern is more of movement and such, so the bench is aluminium and while it is pretty rigid it does bend a tad when picked up im sure, so the fittings will get moved around quite frequently, like flexed. I am worried that over time this will cause them to come out.

There will not however be any bends in the tubing, it will all be straight with bends taken care of by fittings.

I like the monsoons for my idea how ever I do not want silver in my loop so that's out.

Monsoon fittings are all silver? So you want nickel fittings or what? Did you try Bitspower fittings? I think they're pretty hard to take out.

Some of us utilise ethelyne glycol based coolants so I would like to know if this is true or not...?

Yes it is true, however a few fun facts. Ethylene Glycol is used to make PETG, Ethylene Glycol is toxic so if it adds a tad of toxic methanol I do not think it is the end of the world. Alot of people with waterchillers run a 40/60 mix of methanol and water.

Alot of antifreeze contains methanol to begin with for it has high antifreeze properties and a low viscosity even at subzero temps, and good heat transfer. It does however have a low flash point at high ratios however I do not think the ratios will ever get that high in our use .

https://support.nanoxiausa.com/support/solutions/articles/5000691005-is-ethylene-glycol-safe-to-use-with-petg-tubing-

If you are really worried about it and want the Antifreeze features you could use a Proplene Glycol Antifreeze. It is non toxic, shouldn't have that affect and can be bought pure to add to water.

Edit, In looked at Jaks chart, PETG 20 has an E rating, which means no issues were found after 30 days, and PETG 50 has no issues period.

Proplene Glycol has no issues at all. It also has anti corrosive properties and Anti Freeze capabilities, dont think it is a biocide though? As a matter of fact I am 99% sure it is not as I would be dead as I inhale it daily hehehe.

No no, Okay so there barbs are all Silver, I do not mean Silver color I mean Sterling Silver. I do not want Silver in my loop, that feature is cool for people that use only distilled and want it as a biocide and do not have metals that will be affected by the Silvers corrosion. However for me Silver is an issue I don't want it period, I know people like silver so I am not going to start a big debate with my reasoning. Point is I dont want it lol.

I like the monsoons because of there Lock collar, They lock the tube in place. I have already have a ton of Primochill revolvers around and they hold about as well as BPs (which I have some of as well). The only reason I would buy new fittings is if I can find something that really locks to the tube hard. Even if this needs to be copper tube that would be fine, as this is a bench case and because of that it gets moved alot and I do not want tube coming loose.

Bitspowers and PCs are pretty hard to take out that is correct, however once the tubing is done and assembled it will be very hard to de assemble and to watch for leaks. So its pretty much a permanent tube run, I cannot use soft tube as I need the straight tube and thin tube which would be hard with soft and soft needs to be changed I need something that will last years without being replaced.

The concern is that after years of moving around and flexing the tube will come undone. I need something more permanent friendly.

Basically what I am wanting is a shark bite type fitting made for water cooling that doesn't look so bad.

Yea I see what you mean, but I don't think there are any like that on the market atm for pc watercooling. Primochill and Bitspower fittings are the most you can get from. But I heard a lot of people used the Monsoon glue collar fittings, and they had leaks after coulple weeks of usage. Not sure about now since they changed the collar?

Well that really depend where you live. I've got that well below (equivalent of) 100$ - about 75$, but I'm in EU, close to Germany (Knippex HQ), so no costly fees while importing to US.

It's not that bad, when you have to pay S&H 400$ (excluding customs!) to import CL case then you know the pain. tongue.gif

You could also get something like this:

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=31193426&cp=2568443.2568452.2631238.1260857

Doesn't have to be the Knipex tool as lots of other manufacturers produce the stuff as well. I just bought that because I am in Germany and I like quality tools..
