Hello everyone this is my first topic here on OCN and I need your help at the moment.I am looking to buy a mousepad and I don't know what to choose between a hard and soft mousepad if I have a laser sensor mouse.Money isn't a problem, because I have a coupon at a local store (100$).I was thinking about Razer because I like and I have a keyboard, mouse and a keypad from Razer. If you know any other brands that have a good mousepad, feel free to tell me what you think.

This is what I am choosing between at the moment:

Hard mouse mat:
-Razer Invicta
-Razer Manticor

-Razer Vespula

Soft mouse mat:
-Razer Megasoma 2

-Razer Goliathus speed/control

Thanks .

Well hard pad usually have faster glide while soft pad offer more control.

Are you really dead set on Razer pads?

There is better products around (imo), like Artisan's, Puretrak Talent's and such.

Might be better to get something else with your coupon at your local and then order a pad off eBay.

I have used hard pads in the past, but currently have a soft pad (since I got it for free), and while the glide indeed is faster on hard pads as Bastard Wolf said, I still prefer soft pads because they feel more comfortable, and wont make a loud bang when you accidentally slam your mouse at the pad while playing an intense FPS game. biggrin.gif

Also, welcome to OCN! thumb.gif
