Would I need to sli these cards in order to run 3 monitors? I heard they are good at high resolution but I could probbly forget about playing metro last light and maxing it out right? What schould I do please help? I dont have alot of money to blow, iam debating if I schould add another gtx 580, I have 2 1080p monitors schould I go for a 3rd one?.......,,I can also run Gtx 3 way sli 580, how would that work out? Only have a 850 watt psu tough.I can getthe 580s fairly cheep say $100 a piece. So my total Iinvesment would be $300 dollars for 3-way action lol.

Depends on the game. If you can add a second card then yes at med-low settings depending on res.

So from a value standpoint if I get each card at $100 dollars a piece we will have $300 total investment.$300 dollars wouldput me Iin the Gtx 770 bracket almost, better power draw, less heat, less stress on my other components and so forth. But just from a performance stand point how would 3 Gtx 580s game? I think Maybe even 2 cards might be pushing it beacuse not all games utlize multi gpu, what would 3xgtx 580s equal in sli? Would they be as fast as a gtx 780 ti or no?......Iam only considering fps vs dollar here nothing else really matters at this point.Thank you

FPS vs dollar? Then you speaking to the right guy wink.gif

Would you consider AMD? I would, get that 580 sold and buy a 290, would do better!

Hello Demon, I have no problem with amd cards as a matter of fact I have 2 6970s already.I kinda perfer Nvidia at the moment they play my flight sim games alot smoother then the amd cards. But yeah am not opposed to getting a 290 at all.I kinda have a bugdet for them Iam saving up to get a pair, but in the mean time I still would like to have some fun thats why iam wondering about the Gtx 580 sli. I have 3 amd systems at the moment all running diffrent hardware.

I'd honest suggest selling and upgrading cards. A single modern higher end card is going to match/beat a 580 SLI setup
