the standard afterburner really doesnt allow you to do too much with keplar cards, especially locked ones.
if the +100 really means only +100mv then no, you are fine...thats only +0.1V.
and who knows if its really even adding anywhere close to that.

also, you are using custom fan profiles, etc, right?

I thought all 6** series cards were voltage locked...other than custom bios modding. Is this different? Did MSI find a way to change this or is it 660 specific?

Just wanted to know. My GPU is already at 1.212v so it doesn't really bother me, just wondered.

i always thought you could force the voltage to hit the cap of the native adjustable range keplar cards had when they were locked.
you just couldnt pass that lock.
so if its capped at 1.17, it may never naturally hit that or go to that, even OC'd, but you can make it go to that with afterburner, just not surpass it.

Haven't tried the beta from guru3d. I might have to check it out thanks. Yes I am using a custom fan profile to keep noise levels down. I set is so the hottest card reaches about 63*c in Heaven. I have a pretty cool running system because I have a fan that directly blows air towards the GPUs. Low room temperatures help a ton as well.

It is very easy to unlock the voltage in AB. all you have to do is go to settings, check the unlock voltage monitoring click ok, then AB will restart and you do the same for unlocking voltage control, AB will restart again and you are good to adjust the voltage in AB. starts at 0 then goes>+12 mv>+25mv>+37mv>+50mv>ect.

So the +100mv basically just lets you get to 1.17mv?

you'd need to look at the voltage reporting in afterburner to see how high it is getting you, with how kepler works its kind of hard to predict anything without seeing what is being reported.

Yes you can up the voltage but it will still max out at 1.175v when it goes into boost mode correct?

Correct, without flashing a custom BIOS the card will not exceed 1.175.
