Argh, wish they were available when I bought my nf-f12's a few months back.. oh well, just swapped those out for some CM Jet Flo's anyways

Ncix has them on say for 16.99 pretty much half off. Bu to be honest there not that quiet. A lot of money for what the cm blade master that came with my glacer pretty much do. The noise is much different. Also they don't come with the adapters like the old nf f12 did. Now the 140 noctua that just came out our awesome bc not many good 140s out there

Nobody tried these? They are perfect for radiators (ok we are in the air cooling forum) looking at the specs. Soo tempted...
They just cost an arm and a leg

I reviewed the Noctua 2000-3000 rpm over on Vortez. However, a link to those studies is now forbidden -- the posts containing them gets removed -- so all I can do is tell you about them and let you search for them yourselves.

So tell us about them in terms of the sweet spot, what rpm do you find they have a good ratio?

The main thing is that you can get PWM fans. They only spin up when you need them. What makes them really different is they can spin faster than their predecessors. Oh, and their color is different, and they have 6-pole motors.

I don't like the sound signature of the normal NF-F12 when mounted on a rad (at max speed). I found only videos of these in open air and they seem fine, but who knows...
And yes the color matters

In the end I went for the corsair sp120 QE, which are adequate for the level of performance I need, but these and the GT AP-14 were in my list. One day I plan to try at least one

I had my suspicious as that the fan was terrible for downvolting and I also saw a soldering spot on the non-PWM F12 version.
Guess what? I soldered a wire on the spot and now the fan is PWM controlled

PWM@50% the fan spin at 1050RPM+-
