honestly it was an accident, just play around and switch between them, it might change

Imagine if they made a 3360 KPM with a slightly bigger right side guitar.gif

I had to return my KPM. Ever so slight rattle on the lens (although did not effect tracking) and holding the right mouse button hard while clicking the left button produced a squeaky sound. It was rubbing against each other creating friction and making it harder to click. It also made it sound really loud.
I enjoyed the small size and weight but couldn't get comfortable with the width in the middle. I have very small hands and it looks like anything wider than my current mouse, the avior 7000, makes my hand cramp after a while. I think i just need a low profiled mice instead.
Other than that, great mouse! Just not for me.

How do you hold your mouse? Im returning an Avior because its too wide for me and to heavy. was thinking about trying the KPM next.

It varies.. With longer mice (like the Avior which i'm currently using) it seems i have a tendency for claw-palm hybrid of sorts.
In Windows almost exclusively fingertip though.
The KPM would've worked for me if i was pure palm, seeing as i have really short fingers.. but again, i tend to shift my grip around depending on situation.
I believe if i was using something much more narrow and shorter i'd have a claw-fingertip hybrid grip instead, which seems to be the best in gaming for me.
As the Avior is too long for my hand i've resorted to that type of grip though. For reference, some of my favourite mice include the Razer ProSolutions 1.6 and Logitech G9x. I actually enjoyed the Logitech G700 even though it's gigantic. It was used exclusively with high sens on a really small mouse pad (it's my travel mouse).
Works fine for MMOs and ARPGs but i'd wager it'll be too clumsy for use in comp FPS. I've tried a lot of mice but these two stand out. The Rival (the first one i guess) from Steelseries was terrible for my hand. The Avior 7000 probably as well but i've been using it for over a year so i guess i've acclimatized.
I've always been a high sens user because most mouse pads were really small back in the day (around 2002), and i couldn't stand lifting the mouse. Since larger mouse pads have come available i'm slowly learning to play with somewhat lower sens. My grip is always three fingers on top. Middle finger always on scroll although it sometimes rests on right click depending on game. I lift the mouse with my thumb and pinkie. Hopefully that helps!

After only 6 months and 60000 clicks the RMB microswitch of my Kone Pure Black is busted. Probably was happening earlier but I didn't notice until now. Right now if I have it pressed as lightly as I can it acts as if I was rappidly clicking. Tommorow I will take it to the shop to get it fixed/replaced under warranty jealoussmiley.gif

Hi, I ordered the KPM a few days ago and I am kind of dissapointed. I have not read about some of the issues i have before, so somebody might be interested.

1. The lense is loose and rattles. This seems to be a common problem. I did not notice any effect on tracking, but for its price I expect better quality.

2. The LMB is kind of floating a tiny bit above the switch. When I place my finger on it, it makes contact with the switch (no click) and a rattling sound. The RMB is perfectly fine.

3. The rear glider has a slightly convex underside and slides really nicely. The front glider seems to be totally flat and scratches my mousepad, especially when the mouse is slightly angled. Perhaps it is mounted upside down.

4. Two notches of the mouse wheel (out of 24) do not register immediately when scrolling up. In this state a slight push triggers the missing scroll step or I get two steps on the next notch. Scrolling back down one step from this state gives no scroll event but it never skips a step while continuously scrolling down. This makes it impossible to reliably switch weapons or something alike with the scroll wheel.

Tracking and LoD seems fine to me. The shape could be slightly more rounded at some places but I consider it almost perfect. Weight could be a tad lower and less concentrated in the back. When I lift the mouse with a loose grip, the back stays on the mouse pad.

Issue 4 is clearly a defect and I hope that my replacement also solves quality issues 1 to 3. Otherwise i might consider a refund.

Imo you have got faulty mouse. My scroll wheel is perfectly working. NO rattling. LMB and RMB have no problems you mentioned.
1 and 2 are typical. 3 is a defect, they sometimes cut the feet upside-down. 4 is absolutely a defect and needs replacement.

If the replacement also suffers from 3, email their support and they will send you replacement feet for free.

I got my replacement today and i am very pleased. The scroll wheel is working correctly and all other issues i had with the first mouse are also nonexistant. Even with only the typical issues 1 (loose lense) and 2 (floating LMB) the quality would not meet my expectation of a premium product. Fortunately i have no longer to consider a refund.

update: My understanding was, that the last firmware update fixed the polling rate stability. My testing however shows, that for 250Hz and 500Hz I still get unstable polling rates for short intervals of about 1 second about once or twice per minute. The average rate still matches the target rate but i get pairs of too short and too long intervals.

Hi everyone.

I would like to ask if anyone uses this mouse with a hard mouse pad like razer destructor 2 or similar. How is the glide?

I have a Deathadder 2013 but recently I injured my mouse feet and replaced them with Hotline mouse feet and the feeling is bad in combination with Destructor 2.
It is impossible for me to find the original mouse feet for my DA 2013 in Greece, where I live, and the razer official store charges 45 euro for shipping cost for a product that costs 9 euro so I'm fed up with razer. Never liked the sound of scrolling wheel in my DA 2013 but I love the sensor and the glide.

So Roccat Kone Pure Military optical - black Amazon edition???? is on its way.
Any information on the glide in comparison with DA on a hard mouse pad will be nice. Also I will like to know if anyone bought the black Amazon edition, how is the texture of the mouse.
