Roccat Kone Pure Military - Page 135

So just got mine and well, you could have guessed it... again desert strike with sensor rattle.

This time howevere it seems the lense is more unstable towards the x- axis than to the y. The old one seems to be similar loose in both directions.
Not quite sure what im gonna do now. I will try the "rattle" test later and see if it affects performance. If so, I´m going to contcact bit-electronix. Since the problem seems to lie within the production line of desert strike im willing to pay them the difference towards a camo charge or naval strike. But well, not sure what they will say in general. Depending on their answer i might keep the ones i have and open them in order to fix them.
I don´t think they will offer me to send a 3. one, which i also would refuse, since it would be just another defect one almost quite definitly.

Stick the lens to the shell with some thin strips of double sided tape if you choose to open them up.

Edit: NVM, 155x70x55 are the dimensions. Got iiiiiiit.

I think you made a typo there. 155mm is quite large tongue.gif

Edit: Maybe that is the package size, but the roccat site says 115x70x35

Yep the drivers have a mind of their own.

I uninstalled the drivers like granitov suggested and fingers crossed the mouse didn't spin out on me after two games of QL. i really hope it was just the drivers that was making it spin out because if it was then I am definitely keeping these two.

What a bummer. If its any consolation I've been playing with the KPM with the loose lens and I'm 90% certain it doesn't affect usage. QL feels normal and I am not missing any shots I should be hitting. Everything feels as it should. I just hope it was the drivers making it spin out as I've uninstalled them now.

Let me know what bit-electronix say about the camo charge.

I just wish I hadn't left feedback now as I would have tried to worn people about these mice.

the lense rattle is basically only important if you use mouse accel or a high sensitivity
post #1346 of 1517
Not sure about that. I just used the first copy i got for browsing and stuff, and i noticed that after i make fast movements the mouse has some aftetravel. I usually would say it´s software problem but looking at a loose lense it may be the sensor not properly reading inputs cause of the wobbling sensor.

I´m not sure, i bought the mouse knowing about rattle problems, but the shape and weight otherewise are really goood and there is nothing similar (similar in ways but no straight copy, whereas maybe a deathadder or sensei have copys with nearly same shapes) .

But well, without going through every thread and page, i only see the problem/hear the problem with desert strikes. And they are a few bucks cheaper than camo or naval strike and much mure common on RMA sales. So if you buy a desert strike, you will get a rattel i assume.

when the lense shifts so does the cursor, just like tapping glasses (spectacles) causes the image they correct to shift

when you start hard, the lense is kicked in one direction, and if you stop hard, it's kicked in the opposite direction. it might even bounce, depending on circumstances.

the thing is, at low senses with no accel, the small shift it causes basically doesn't affect gameplay, just like the MLT04 deadzone

Yeah but the aftertravel of the cursor is like 0,5 seconds, which seems odd

So i just tested the rattle via paint.

It´s as i expected, the first copy as a signitficantly higher rattle:

The box right on the left is when i tapped the lense and shock the mice while painting. But not like a shake, rather in the air sideways like I would on the mousepad.

I´d say the second copy is actually acceptable.

When i look at the avior, there is clearly 0 rattle as the curvor didn´t move a pixel.

I will think a bit about what I´m going to do, but i may just try to fix it with a bit of paper or tape and keep it.

Interesting in this mice but in my local store I can find only a camo charge color. Does it have the sensor rattle issue in this camo charge color ?
