Low EVGA 770 overclocks

Hi all,

So i can't seem to push my 770 ftw past 1260MHz, even after tinkering with the bios to unlock the voltages and push up the stock speeds.
I've used preisionX and AfterBurner to try and add MHz but anything past +20MHz on ether software gives me driver crashes in Heaven,Valley and FutureMark11 benchmarks

my question is, could this be caused by my power supply? the reason I ask if its the power supply is because when trying to overclock my CPU i can't seem to push is very far ether.

so bad PSU, or unlucky silicons?

what PSU do you have?

most likely unlucky silicone.
i cant push my 770 too far past 1260 either, i am having to sit around 1267.
i used to run a OC'd 480 on my setup and never had any power issues, so i am pretty positive i got hit with the silicone lottery slap also.

I have a 750w rosewill hive PSU and I maintain 12.2v throughout all stress testing and the voltage is very steady. That's the extent that I have for testing the PSU. But my 670 which is the same as the 770 can do 1280 @ 1.212v. I only got 1254mhz at stock volts. Its a bummer but oh well. Its about 15% of a performance increase over stock clocks...

Just seems like you've fallen short in the silicon lottery to me. Some 770's can do 1.35 GHz, some can't do 1.2 GHz... just depends on how lucky you are.
