For sure!

In other news ... I got my 4 Barrow parts from ModMyMods today (only took 2 days shipping ... NY to MA). I managed to break the handle on the valve first time I twisted it. I've emailed ModMyMods about it.

That sucks. I think plastic handles on valves is just a bad idea all around. From garden hoses to industrial valves, plastic is just not a high stress material. I've seen this happen on a lot of drain valves. Definitely good to know to be sure to get a metal handle.

That has happened on the Bitspower too. The valves are very hard to turn if you twist them in the wrong direction, it can snap the handle off. i submerged mine in a bit of distilled and used the water as a lubricant and left it in the closed position ready for its job as the drain valve. I say that its about the same as the Bitspower shiny silver valve I had before.
The Bitspower ones are now supplied with a small leaflet advising that the valve is not to be operated unless water/coolant is present to act as a lubricant.

Btw, I was wondering if we should setup a dedicated thread for Barrow owners and not thread jack this one. I feel a bit confident hostilities has subdued enough that us Barrow owners can came out from the dark tongue.gif
I still see quite a few people being hostile towards the brand. Most recently because of the t-virus reservoirs.

Where are you seeing the hostility?

Personally, I like the look of the Barrow fittings way more. No big logo is a big plus in my book.

Most recently in the 290/x club...i like the look of them too don't get me wrong and the cost is a huge bonus as well. The flipside of that argument is that it's easy for barrow to be cheap since they don't actually have to do any R&D for any of their products etc etc.

Yeah, the "T virus" reservoirs have been a hot topic among the discontent with this influx of similar made products. Especially in the water cooling gallary/thread. The Thermaltake wave of new products adds more fuel to this fire tbh.

I have owned Frozenq reservoirs before and have gotten flak about them and their sometimes poor quality. In all honesty, even the genuine brands have haters, so it's nothing new. Since I've been wc for a while and really like to do things my own way, I've yet to experience any direct hate based on my Barrow parts (using Bitspower tube, the sin....tongue.gif). Hopefully, it gains more followers so we can establish a dedicated thread for helping and displaying our Barrow stuff.

My first frozenq reservoir came with both caps not even sealing and not holding water, luckily I did a leak test on it first before I even started the build. Sent it back for a replacement waited over a month for the RMA, frozenq had "misplaced" my package and said that someone took the package in and signed for it and left it on their desk without notifying anyone that it had come in for repairs/replacement. Whatever, I didn't really care as I didn't have all the parts to finish my build anyways, I finally received one that held water perfect for a few days as I tested it for leaks.

Fast forwards maybe 3-4 months down the road, I'm sitting at my desk browsing youtube and all I hear is a huge splash and look over to see that the bottom cap of the reservoir just slid right off the bottom of the tube and poured all of my mayhems ORANGE pastel ALL over the inside of the case, desk, CARPET (pastel + carpet = a very bad time). LUCKILY the only thing I had on the bottom of the case was my radiator in push/pull with the hubs of the fans being protected by the blades so there were no exposed circuitry and the fluid just poured over the fans and surprisingly there wasn't too much over spray from the fans shooting the pastel all over the inside of the case. I had some sort of ninja reflexes and used my foot to hit the off switch on the power strip my PC was plugged into lol so there was no damage to any of my parts, except for the carpet which took a very long time to clean up.

First AND last time I'm ever going to use a reservoir from frozenq. It makes so much more sense to just make a screw cap type reservoir like every single other company.

Well, i don't feel as strongly as some of the rest on the forum. I think having things matching various price points lowers the barrier for entry into the scene. I mean not everyone can afford all bitspower stuff.
