Barrow Fittings - Page 77

Looked at Barrow, aesthetics seem nice, but I haven't held one in my hand nor gazed toward the light at the end of their tunnels.

Anyway, been biding my time until I could figure out the price differential between buying Bitspower here in the U.S vs. ordering directly from them in Taiwan. This weekend I logged into my Bitspower account and learned they're now displaying pricing in Taiwan dollars on individual product listings, which took care of that problem. Unfortunately, with the exchange rate that came up via Google, I also learned that you might as well order them via someone like PPCS unless PPCS doesn't have the fitting you need and/or a certain color. PPCS actually worked out cheaper in a larger number number of cases, so I ordered just under a grand worth of fittings and a few other odd items from them, using their Easter discount.

For those wanting to try out the Barrows you can check out PCCoolings on Ebay. They have a large stock and ship from NY. I've gotten several items from them. I'm in the middle of a build process and the quality of the Barrows is very good. One thing I noticed is that the tubing is not quite as snug as on Bitspower. Sometimes I have to really push on the Bitspower but the Barrows slide right in.

I originally ordered from Aliexpress. Took 3 weeks. I needed some additional fittings and got them from the ebay seller in 2 days.
I'm using 14mm OD with PETG tubing.

when looking at that ebay store his o rings are all black not green like the normal borrow ones. Does this mean anything different also noticed they actually say Barrow on them instead of the normal logo on all the fittings.

All my fittings from Aliexpress (FormulaMod seller) all had black o-rings.

But they're 1/3 of the price... What are you paying for when you buy bitspower fittings? Certainly not ingenuity or originality - compression fittings have existed a lot longer before anyone decided to watercool a pc. These are just fancy plumbing parts.

Sure, Barrow are ripping off Bitspower's aesthetics but Bitspower are ripping off their customers.
