Just bought a Mercury S8 the other day, and I can't wait for it to arrive. My current setup is a bit too restrictive, and I'm hoping to get better temps with this new case. Plus I don't feel comfortable with the weight of the gtx 780ti on it's side like that. Seems like its bending some. Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say whats up.
Current setup.

This HAF-x has served me well, but it's time to move on. This is just going to be a simple case swap...well not that simple since I have to complete drain, rehose and add quick disconnects... but it will be worth it. Don't mind the terrible cable management. This upgrade has been long overdue. Cant wait to get out of this case. Another 780ti on the way soon too.

Congrats! When I was looking into building a new system a couple of months ago I hadn't even heard of CaseLabs. My system is about 8 years old and due for an upgrade. It was very high end at the time and is still adequate for gaming and daily computer tasks. But I decided it was time to upgrade and when I started looking at cases I had originally budgeted $200 for the case. In my research I discovered CaseLabs and immediately knew that there's no way that I would ever be content with anything less. Their cases are exactly what I was looking for.
I've received the case (S8) and it is absolutely beautiful, a work of art, and a testament to human ingenuity. Of course I need to water cool now. This will be my first water cooled case and I look forward to setting it up and learning the ins and outs of a new style of system design as well as sharing my own unique innovations with the community.
NICE! This HAF-X was the first water cooled system I had ever built. It came out really well for my first system. It's not bad at all if you make sure you have all the right parts before you start.

No guarantees, but we love giving you guys exposure whenever we can
Looks like the case just shipped yesterday 6/10. Estimated arrival 6/16... Think I feel a cold coming on *cough* ... Welp... looks like I'll have to call in sick on Monday....

Got my case today... however, didn't call in sick like I had planned, so I was only able to work on it for an hour or so.Enough time to get the case built at least. The build quality on this case is top notch. The packaging that it was shipped in...awesome. Each piece inside the box was individually wrapped and taped.really well... if I might add. Not a scratch during shipping or assembly (Thus far at least).
I should have time tomorrow night to knock it all out. Hopefully I have everything that I need. I'll try to make sure that I take pictures along the way.
Okay, so here is a few pics of the build from last night. I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted because I needed the computer back up and running for the next day... hard to find time for down time.
All parts removed from the old HAF-x case
Decided to clean the cpu and reapply some arctic silver.
All cleaned up an mobo installed
gtx780ti installed
Pump, cd rom psu installed
Rad installed.
Hoses installed and and res filled, looking for leaks. I watched for leaks for over 2 hours during the build, no leaks. The tubing is a bit of a mess, no going to lie. Like I said, I was pressed for time, and didnt really plan ahead as to how I was going to run all the lines.
Completed and put back. Computer boot right up as if nothing happened. I usually always forget some minor detail that makes me worry during first initial boot, but not this time!
Only thing that sucks, is that I didnt realize that i wouldnt have room for the push pull to be completely inside, so now I have to order the right top to allow clearance.
All in all, It went smoothly. Made this all work with the same fittings that I was using before. Just had to buy new hose. Didnt have time to figure out how I was going to integrate the quick disconnects.. ran out of room and time. I'll deal with it some other time. Also, my all around temps on average dropped ~8 degrees. Better airflow through the rad I presume.
I also have to add how easy it was to install into this case. Having an open design made this experience awesome. If you are considering caselabs for your next case, this is the route to go. The quality of this case is top notch.
Yeah, for sure. I contacted them, and the new top is on the way. They were cool enough to allow me to order the new top first, then send back the one that I ordered originally for a refund. Thanks for the heads up.
look great! i am excited to finish mine. i to ordered wrong parts, but i git them ordered yesterday and today...
