So this seems like a logical upgrade for me going from a 580 to 7970 crossfire for a total cost of $300 dollars.I have no idea what the 7970s in cf require power wise,I have a corsair hx series 850 is that enough or no?

Now in a perfect world id be running a 780 ti,maybe 2 but at those prices $700 per card $1400 total puts it out of reach for me until prices stabilize. So do you guys think ill be happy with 2 radeon 7970 ghz editions ? Will my cpu be a bottleneck also Fx 9370 @ 5ghz? Formula z motherboard.

Thanks for your suggestions, money is the key factor here.

The HX 850 should be plenty for that setup. Considering that the HD 7970 vanilla is already 30-40% faster than a GTX 580, it should not come as a shock that the performance of two HD 7970's will destroy a single GTX 580.

Your CPU should be fine for most titles.

Good, thats good to hear. Like I said I really want a Nvidia card but at these prices its not going to happen! My 2nd choice would be the Radeon 7970 crossfire set-up, and $300 dollars for a set-up like that isn't bad at all.I cant even buy a single 770 for $300.

Ive also thought about doing Sli with my 580 but they are old lets face it, Might as well get something newer that has more V-ram.
