Well... Seeing as a DOS 6.0 boot disk will load DOS instead of Windows 7, then yes, it'll work on pretty much any OS. I have to put mine onto a CD though; no stiffy drive and my USB 'flash drive' is a Micro-SD in an adapter...

Does this process work for 465 flashing? It seems similar but not the same.

I assume you're targeting my thread since you left a comment there as well. In my defense, I created my own thread because the MSI GTX 465 GE seems to have a different process to fully unlocking the card to a 470 (including all of the memory). Plus, there are already a ton of members who have ordered the golden edition, so it would be nice to have a working flash for those people.

I apologize if it offended you in some way. If need be, I will ask a mod to remove it.

It flashes the same as any nvidia card. It's no different.

Thank you

I was able to flash my MSI 240GT 1GB DDR5

Now it will ALWAYS work at 550Mhz, no matter what

I used:
nvflash.5.88
NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBitor 5.7)
HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
win98boot

Thanks a lot, I've wanted to be able to flash my video card for almost one year, damn, so happy I can do that now

You can convert a GTX 465 to a GTX 470
