[Build Log] Project Grayscale: WC 2x 780Ti, 4790K, Air 540, EVGA Classified Z97 - Page 5

Thread Starter

I've been absurdly busy these last few days, but I'm finally able to get some more pictures up. This is a shot of the finished build.

...but I didn't finish the log, did I? Anyhow, I cleaned out the radiators...

...and installed them. Notice how very little space I have between the 120mm rear fan and the 240mm top two fans

Yeah, I'm not going to be able to fit three 120s on this 360 rad. I should have just stuck with the 240.

Not much clearance down here, either. I ended up bending that metal flange all the way down and installing an SSD here rather than a full size drive.

CPU block came.

Unboxing

My jet plate of choice...

I'm just going to love installing this gasket again

Random shot of a fitting

After heating the tubing, put it on the fitting first, let it sit a bit, then take the fitting off, THEN put it on the fitting that's attached to whatever part you're trying to get it on. Short tubing runs can actually be done by putting the fitting on the tubing, then screwing the entire thing into the threads.

Tubing run #1 from the pump.

Running the tubing back from the pump, to the front of the case, into the first rad.

Letting the tubing flex out a bit. I used 145F water to heat up the tubing to let it slip onto the barbs. (My microwave has a temp cook option, it was easy to use this to heat up the water)

Sharp, well taken-care of gardening shears are definitely the best. I tried Scizors scissors, various knives and boxcutters, but none of them worked as well as the shears did.

More tubing in place.

Yet more.

Pausing for a moment to take more pictures of these really nice looking parts

I love the aesthetic of curved tube runs. I would never in a million years use 90degree fittings/rotary fittings unless I absolutely had to.

I like this picture. More than big enough to be a wallpaper if you wanted.

Alright then, here's the back

And finally, a tweaked version of the other image.

We're not done yet though. Things to do:

-Sleeving
-Overclocking
-Installation of certain non-Windows OS's that having nothing to do with OS X, no, not at all.

Are you guys interested in a review of the EVGA BIOS? So far, I'm pretty pleased with it. PCIe x16 slot 1 runs at x8 when x16-2 is used, but it's Gen3, so oh well.

And finally, a little bit of OC to start with

You should grab one of those EVGA SLI bridges, they look really nice.

You can actually put the 3 fans in front of the rad behind the front of the case. They will fit there so you could have all 3 there.
