Nah, but i find this type of friction better and more natural than the QcKs one.

The Talent is pretty large. I have thought about deskpads but using the largest non-full-desk cloth pad is definitely the way to go for me. The Talent hasn't left my desk in weeks. I love it.

Also Divine, I've been in touch with Mionix who had a change of hands recently for their beta program. A new guy I talked with said he'd be sending out the Sargas 450 SK and Nash 20 since I asked specifically for those. I asked for the Zibal 60 as well but they said it's just not in stock at the moment. So we'll have a Sargas review on the forum whenever I get my hands on that.

I've ventured in to desk pads but prefer the mouse having its own clear defined space of operation.....for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. redface.gif going to get me a uc50 soon.

Corepad Deskpad feels very similiar to a QCK to me.
I use mine for several months now without cleaning once (uuuh disgusting I know wink.gif) and it still won't leave my table, probably ever again. It's slow and controlled but does NOT have anything in the way when you start moving the mouse. It's a control pad, perfect for lowsens, perfect for its size (4XL here). Been gaming on it with sens like ~100cm/360 on it (Zowie FK) but also ~25cm/360 (WMO). 2 backup 4Xl pads are now in my drawer. smile.gif

How different is the glide compared to the QCK? Andt the durability of the pad? (feel stays consistent, no fraying etc?)

Also, is the rubber backing hard or soft? How far can you make the pad "sink" by pressing down on it with finger, compared to QCK?

Difficult to say. It's 3mm thick/thin so it is more like a QCK+ than a QCK Heavy. I only have a QCK Heavy to directly compare it to though. You can sink in more in the QCK Heavy than the Corepad Deskpad, obviously (6mm vs 3mm). I have the feeling that the pad stays consistent but didn't test it against a new one because my 2 backup pads are packaged in dust-proof plastic. If anything it might have gotten slower, which I would like because it gives more control. What I can say for sure is that it still has no starting resistance. Rubber backing is soft and patterned (like pretty much any cloth pad).

I can't remember, is the UC50 slower than a QcK or Talent? I actually just swapped last night from Talent to QcK to check it out and the QcK was faster...

How do you know?

Some cloth pads can be machine washed.

Would you mind testing the glide on your current pad - on areas where the mouse is used the most vs the areas where you never go with the mouse (like upper left/right corners etc)?

Thanks.

According to Ino its pretty close with a touch less static friction against an old QCK. My guess is out of the box they are pretty close. I find the Talent changes a lot depending on humidity/heat. Some days its fast some days its draggy.

Feels the same to me.
