I am currently giving lowering cpu voltage a try again 4・8ghz at 1・512v lol thumb.gif
Yeah try staying within 1.55-1.57v at the most.

Can we sticky this, clean it up a bit, and use it as a reference point to show overclocking noobs how NOT to overclock? Highlights should be:

Too much voltage
Too much heat
Improper cooling ( Mild and medium OC can use off the shelf air and AIO cooling. High and extreme need custom water and exotic cooling).
Importance of finding a safe, stable overclock for 24/7 usage
Importance of PSU for overclocking
Listening to peers when asking for help (Huuuuuuuge on this one)

if he actually burns up his cpu/mobo and posts about it with his wrong overclocking then this is a good idea.

Right now he has been proving a fx4300 can take a major beating.

My old fx8350 used to run at 74c full load 86c?? core (core temps were estimated since i did not have softwares that dectect core temps)no degrading ever happened to it, my4300 never been over 90c and hasen't even degraded a percent after 44hours and more of stress testing, sure amd will take some beating as long as its not past82c at full load, as for the fx8350 she wnt on1・72v idle for 11hours at 5ghz 50c core idle it was on a evo 212 with 4 fans it normaly runs at bout 1・5v after that the cpu showed no degration (my8350 has been into pure alchool by accdent after 30hours of usage and it was half dead.... but still did 4・8ghz stable at 1・644v full load 24/7 on my watee cooler plain multiplier oc )

Sure AMDs prove they aren't fainthearted like the Intels!

From my experience AMD are equally stable as Intel and intel.is easier to oc ,but amd is just diffrent when it runs and boot up on oc settings it will probally full load too but intel can boost way over limits and crash while your half way in your game and probally take a heck lot of tuning to full load that was my first impression i had when i upgraded from a p4duall core to the amd 8350

When it Fry's. And it will fry. I definitely vote sticky. Also sticky his 8350 "delid"
