Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme, cooling problem and attempting to fix. - Page 3

My 2 cents,,, thermaltake performer 2.0 19 months. temps keeps rising. cpu thermals off. Finally came up with bright idea of turning off 3 cores and run the 8350 on one core. Watching the temp climb in the bios to 50C and the RPM reports 1500 from the cpu header. checked the line. one side hot and the other side cold. the hot keeps getting hotter & the cold stays the same. I think that the impellers are worn or clogged or the radiators clogged. So OK now can a water 2.0 pump be repaired or is the whole system something you toss in the scrap bin. If the pump can be paired. Can you flush the raditator, remove the pump reuse the CPU block and use a external pump & reseviore?

that is exactly what i'm trying to answer. first flush with distilled water and more brown crap came out. trying to get a constant flush going with this thread here > http://www.overclock.net/t/1507295/how-to-remove-the-tubes-on-an-aio-thermaltake-water-2-0-extreme
but no bites yet.

My pump still runs and it seems to be circulating the water just fine even after 2 years of pretty much non stop use. If i can save the entire unit, great. if not i'll probably scrap the pump and figure out a way to mod the radiator into my current loop with some adapters or something. or make another loop using this rad and seeing how the temps go. Stay subbed for updates because i am really curious if i can resurrect this thing.

You all were mostly right I just had same exact issue with mine. If you hear random rattling sounds and not cooling after aproximaly 2yrs or longer it is mineral deposits inside lines and radiator I drained and blew them out lots of build up chucks of old fluid. Replaced with new 50/50 antifreeze reapplied thermal grease walla works great. There are 2 screws (phillips head) locking water lines unscrew pull lines strait out very simple actually.
