So your using overdrive to oc aswell as bios oc?

As far as i know software oc is never as good as bios oc.

Power feature on your overdrive i think is fine.

Well, yes, it is on. However, I'm not sure if it enables as soon as I open AMD Overdrive or as soon as the computer is on. I have noticed that the customized fan speed in the AMD-OD turns on as soon as I open the software, so I don't know if this applies to the Processor AMD-OverDrive OC as well.

anyone knows?

in addition to my previous post, i have set LLC to regular and disabled c6 support. What i have noticed is that now the processor is running at 3999.9 mhz and is no variating any more. Before this the Mhz were decreasing and increasing depending on what i was doing at that moment.
Could anyone advise if this is what i was trying to achieve? Also noticed that the voltage does no varies that much aa before now it its always at 1.28 down to 1.1X

Here is a pic of the current values, CPU is static at 3999.7
Outdoor temperature is 31ºC, my room should be a little hotter 32-33ºC

Also managed to connect the fan that goes on the front, all seems good at the moment.

Tun C6 back on. AM3+ motherboard overclock just fine with COol N Quiet enabled. You want to be stable at 4Ghz under stress, not to be always at 4Ghz, even at idle. I don't know about Overdrive, i don't install it, it's always a bad idea to mix software overclocking to BIOS overclocking.

If this is under stress with Prime/OCCT/IBT/Linx, let's say it's acceptable. You do have cooling issues in there. The 70C is high, but if it's under stress, with games you 'd be in low 60s, which is let's say tolerable. Keep an eye for package to stay below 62C. Your motherboard is also at high temperature, but OK. If you can do something to improve cooling (better CPU cooler, case fans, fan on VRM), do it. Jason should be able to tell you better how to cool this down.

New Info for this thread. TMPIN2 for the GA 78LMT USB3 is a faulty sensor. I have been working on a review regarding the N U12S and the NU 14S. By the way the N U12S is just roughly 2c behind the U14S which really surprised me. I'm currently using the U12S as for it's size it performs better. So back to the point, my friend came over with his Phenom II x4 CPU and his Asus mobo. His Asus mobo recognized my CPU temps to be slightly lower than my core temps at higher frequencies. The real test was when we popped his CPU into my gigabyte mobo. The TMPIN2 temp showed up at 16c and went as high as maybe 30c throughout are testing and he immediately recognized that TMPIN1 was the CPU temps as he knows what temps he usually gets.

By the way I'm loving the U12S. My temps at 4.4Ghz after I hour of OCCT-

Even though the mac core temp hit 49c, the average core temp was always 4c lower. The U12S is being used with dual fans tongue.gif

CPU temp lower than core at load? eek.gif Did you reset BIOS when changing from FX to Phenom?

I don't know, none of this makes sense. Well, as long as you are happy... Good results for 4.4!

Yes we did. We removed the cmos battery for roughly 10 seconds. The Noctua U12S ran 10 rounds of IBT AVX at max load with the FX 6300 at 5Ghz with 1.56v. There was no throttling whatsoever, and the max temp was 66c while the sustained temp was 3c lower.
