After another wait for a shop to deliver something I went to another shop and ordered a sheet of green UV plexiglass.
I figured since I was going to use UV light anyway this might work with the sticker as well. Contrary to the backlight idea
It is a tad yellowish, but we'll see how it will look with the UV green fluids in there.
This single piece was the holdup for the remainder of the top build.
Now this sheet was installed with the logo (and working like a true folded edge where the logo comes from) I could install the next layer with the fold itself over it.
Next up the PSU cover and sleeving the cables coming from it.
This was a big pain in the butt. This was all designed to work without covers and sleeving etc so the wiring was short.
I had to sleeve through the vents of the PSU cover.
I only need 3 8 pin EPS cnnectors but thought it was a waste to completely cut off the other 3 so sleeved them as well. I will hide them a bit behind the midplate that you wiil see in action soon.
Here are the cables.
I then installed the motherboard loadout to see if it still fits and determine how the 24 pin cable has to run.
I will make an extension cable for it. There was just no room for the other ones.
Look how close the connectors are to the PSU cover.
I fear getting them out again will result in a tearing apart my psu cover.
Everything is in right on the mm left, right and top.
So it stays there LOL. No more getting it out.
Next up; making the 24 pin extension and fitting it, sleeving and handling the molex cables, making a molex to sata power cable for the SSD, making the holes and the extension for the molex cable to the top section, making an SSD coverplate in Seagate style.
