They have sadly stopped coöperating. I can get a waterblock done for anything though. Issue is the price. One-offs for such things cost a lot of money. And the problem with this specific motherboard is that on the right side it has no holes in the motherboard to fit the waterblock to. The only way I see it happening if we decide to create a single block to cover 2 CPUs and the VRMs left and right. But the question remains; who is going to pay for it?

Recently I picked up the custom pedestal and arch for the servercase.

Basically what you see here is a pedestal for under it, a loose front for it where the Aquaero 5 will go and perhaps a few poweradjusts, but I am not sure about that yet. Especially now I will use about 4 Gentle Typhoons for the rads and the front and rear fans will be put on a molex -fan pcb. This means I will only need to put 4 Enermax fans on the aquaero. I think it should be able to cope just fine.

And last an arch that goes over the case. The top hole will be filled with a plexi window. Why? Because I am going to route the to and back pipes above the regular case and under that window. So basically in the front there will be the reservoir, under them the pumps, these will feed the radiators next to it, then it goes to the front, up to the top, over the top to the rear and down again to the waterblocks, then up again, over the top to the front again and in the reservoirs. I thought I would do something different for a change smile.gif
Enjoy the few (not very well taken) pictures of my toy.

Decided to do something else the other day: partly dismantle the server case. There are items in and on it I won't be needing.
I wanted to put in some time and invest how such a servercase actually differs from a regular desktop case.
I mean how often do you have something like this on your desk?
The empty case is very heavy. And very well built. No wobbly bits or big gaps and such.
I am very impressed with the modularity of it. I understand this is because of the minimal downtime servers should have.
And I love it biggrin.gif It is like Lego. All of the important stuff just clicks and secures, comes in and out easy.
I mean look at the rear fans. I can't use them because they a) stick out the rear so won't fit the custom build around it and b) run at 8.200 rpm if I am correct. While this is perfect for a rackserver it is somewhat less usable when in a bedroom or even room next to a bedroom and they make a lot more noise as a regular 120mm fan. But they easy way they come out. No need to disconnect a fan connector or use screws. Just click they're out and connector is loose. So easy to work with I imagine. Same with the mid-fan-shround and fans. The HDD bay is modular as well and so are the 5,25 inch bays and even the complete bay around them including the buttons and connectors. If you know what you're doing you have it disassembled in 2 or 3 minutes. Of course I didn't and was busy for 30 xD
Of course at some point you reach the point where what I am doing has nothing to do anymore with regular maintenance and swapping parts so a drill was needed to get rid of the first rivets. At that point in time it was getting darker so couldn't see what I was doing anymore. Another day, another chance to mod this case. I want to do it clean and not just put the dremel into it.

Sorry for the multitude of pictures. I wanted to show people how these server cases work. They're very modular.
Enjoy!

That chassis is beautiful. Too bad they're so expensive and heavy.

Yeah they're great chassis, but they have been built for 1 reason and they excell at that; being in a 19 inch rackserver and work / live in there forever with as little maintenance as possible. But that is not what I am going to use it for. So I had to.....well......alter it a tiiiiiiiny bit wink.gif

You, sir, just signed to pay me one BILLION DOLLARS

Sure... I have a whole case of Monopoly money coming your way. So when should I expect my monster folding rigs? Oh and each of the PCI-E slots will be filled with Nvidia GTX 780 TI's right (I could've gone for some Titan Z's but I didn't want to be greedy of course)? So that is 12 complete systems each with 4 CPU's, 64 GB's of ram, and a metric butt ton of GTX 780 ti'd right? I'm guessing that my HFM.net will say "ERROR CANNOT COMPUTE. THE SUM IS TOO HIGH!!!" inder the estimated PPD spot lol.

Oh and I love the pink watering can in the background there man. That's just in case all of this computer awesomeness made you feel too manly then the watering can could sort of ground you right? Either that or you were trying to make a statement and to let us all know just how "FABULOUS" you really are... Lol don't feel bad. I'm just giving you crap. I have 3 little girls and 2 boys so I know exactly what it's like to try and get them to put their crap away. You would swear that it was like pulling teeth or something.

What an incredible amount of watercooling gear. Really nice stuff, sir. I've never taken a good look at a server case before; thank you for a lot of pics. It's really cool how everything is meant to be modular and easily worked on. Those clip in fans are just awesome!

Yeah man I know. Sometimes I wish regular cases would have such cool features. But it would make them very expensive I think.
