Help with BIOS update

Thread Starter
Im currently at a P8Z77-V-LX motherboard, i want to update my bios.

Ive had bad experiences in the past with power going out at the most perfect time, and it has left me with a scar that has made me afraid to update my bios.

Some questions, for others with ASUS motherboard.

1. Format the USB drive to FAT32 (Standard) (Also, there is a memstick.ind and a MSTK_PRO.ind still there, i hope thats okay, they just recreate themselves all the time after deletion.)
2. Straight up copy the P8Z77-V-LX-ASUS-2403.CAP file onto the USB Drive (no need to use the Brename utility? im not sure on this one)
3. Del -> BIOS (Set to Default Settings -> Restart -> Repeat) -> EZ flash 2 -> select the P8Z77-V-LX-ASUS-2403.CAP file, and let it take its course until the computer starts itself back up normally.

Are these steps correct, i just need some clarifications on these things im wondering about.

Also 1 more thing, i can just update to the latest version directly right? I dont need to update for each version right? (might be a retarded question, i just want to be 100% sure.)

Hoping for answers smile.gif

Yes, those steps are correct. And you can upgrade to the latest BIOS without problems.
