Huge FPS decrease with 2nd monitor [GTX770]

Hello guys,

I recently got an old monitor from my grandpa but I get a huge FPS decrease when gaming. (even League of Legends drops to 30 FPS.
Specs:
1st monitor 24" - 1920x1080
2nd monitor 20" 1600x900
GPU: Nvidia MSI GTX 770 2GB
CPU Intel i5 4670 @3,40GHz

Anybody got a solution/idea?

Greetings and thanks in advance.

Hi friend go to nvidia control panel -> manage 3d settings -> global settings ->Multi-display/mixed GPU acceleration-> set to single monitor

That's why I'm using the Intel integrated for the second monitor, so it doesn't interfere with the performance of the first. biggrin.gif

Obvious question, but one that needs to be asked. Is your main display (the one you are playing games on) connected via video card? It has to be in order to have the game processed by that over the IGPU.

Both displays are connected to the GPU.

Good idea, but when I connect my monitor to the motherboard it doesn't show anything.

Should be no issue, wife has 2 to a 770 and I have 3 to a 780. Not multi screen gaming just extended desktops

You can try going into the nvidia control panel / set up multiple displays and make sure the monitor you game on is set as the primary display (has the star thing in it). If it doesn't just right click and select set as primary.

It's disabled by default, you have to enable IGP in the BIOS first. wink.gif
