so i should at least keep the bottom hdd cage, get a fan blowing air into the ssd and hdd, and a second fan on top of that one blowing air into the gpu?
from what i've read, AF series don't perform all that well with filters/meshes
i would like to keep things as tidy as i can so should i get a mii-520w? the price delta between the s2 and the m2 is about 6€, or should i just for the x series 560w?
then i think i'm gonna buy an adapter for the hdd, unless someone thinks that having a hdd on the top of the case with no intake fans around is somewhat not advisable, if this is true i might switch my case to a graphite 230t

i just want to get the inside of the case as clean and "empty" as possible and since all the hdd cages are removable...

Evo fan is not the greatest. Also it's paying like 25 euros extra - you can either use the stock cooler, or get something with a nice fan like the thermalright coolers (true spirit 140 power or hr-02 macho) with a ty-147 or similar on them. Those are very quiet fans and run at ~600-1300rpm, but you can lock at ~600 - if the noise of the stock cooler is too much for you.

You only need a quality ~400-450w unit. Superflower golden green hx 450 is an excellent tier unit, but there's probably cheaper ones available that are worse in ways that don't really matter to you. That one costs 60 euros in some places.

Four SP120's at full speed (~2350rpm?) are extremely loud. Extremely, like easily the dominant noise source in your system.. if you're freaking out about airflow so much, just get something like an air540 case instead, or something where you can set up good airflow without having noisy fans at those speeds all of the time, or at least some form of fan control

I don't know.

You can control a lot of stuff with PWM fans.. but with non-PWM, you must control them by changing the input voltage. I don't think it's too easy to do with software. My mobo offers PWM control or nothing, AFAIK.

You can get relatively cheap things for fan control, like these variable resistors - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=OA-000-ZA&groupid=701&catid=2331&subcat=189 - which allow you to change the voltage supplied to fans. For some fans you can use more than one per one of those, for others that draw a lot of power i think you need to use one of those per fan, as an example of some way to control them.

i thought i could still control non pwm fans via software, my bad, now that i know that i'm only gonna buy a single twinpack sp120 quiet edition pwm

here's the config at the moment:

- wd black 1tb 7200rpm
- Gskill Ripjaws X DDR3-1600MHz 2x4GB
- Seasonic Bronze M12II-520 Modular
- i5 4590 3,3Ghz Sk1150
- ASUS H97 Plus
- ASUS GTX770 DC2OC-2GD5
- Cooler Master CM690 III window
- thermalright true spirit 140 BW
- CORSAIR SP120 PWM Twinpack, to be mounted either on the front (moving the 200mm to the top) or on top depending on the airflow/temps

The Seasonic M12II are very well known for being loud, so if its a quiet PC you want the M12II is not the unit you want.

I think it is but its also worse, if you want something really good and also quiet there is the Cooler Master VS series aka the VSM if you are from the US, Seasonic S12G and its semi modular brother the Seasonic G are also options.
