Most definitely, I was debating going with some other options but it ultimately came down to ensuring that I wont have complications with being able to fit the components I have and want, coupled with the opportunity to have some custom one of a kind work done that Im unable to do in my modest appartment made me pulled the trigger.

It helps to that the communication with the guys over there have neen top notch. Quick replys and very helpful, and alk with a 7 hour time difference thumb.gif

I'd take an EVGA motherboard over Asus any day of the week. Customer service alone would make it 100% worth it.

I've used both on X99, Z97 and x79... Pretty simple choice.

yeah except they dont perform as well. they still suck...
I just meant as far as the prices they charge.
I am surprised you have had such good luck going back so far. I have heard so many things about driver issues from them..

and lets not forget the p68 boards or whatever the boards were that they released early.. I heard the darks were a PITA as well
poor launch support and operation.

I dont mess with asus either.. Unless I have to.. like I did with z170 since asrock keeps delaying the ocf

anyways enough with this OT convo

So you have only heard and not owned a EVGA then.....

asrock oc formulas take care of my needs well cheaper. z97 classy sucked for mem OC. x99 was trash vs the soc champ or x99m fatality 3.1 for ram oc.
z170.. why would I bother wasting that money when Theres an impact or asrock At hundreds less.. they whoop those boards
I skipped giga for z170 cuz they took forever to release. it doesn't do mem very well from what Ive seen of bassplayer's results and its 400$

so no. but thatts because Its always been worse than the motherboard I have had.
I don't game but a few days out of the year.
When the only people who use evga boards are the ones who are sponsored by evga you should take the hint...

id take gigabytes wretched bioses over evga for 3D though. ASUS isn't bad other than the attrocious RMAs.
I hadnt used them for x99 just cuz the soc champ treated me well, but I like the impact I have now.
waaaaay better than MSI trash. OCs better than the big asrock board. descent price.

only pro oc who uses evga Vince aka kingpin.. who are sponsored by evga.

Ive always had MSI boards and never had a problem, but im not keen on the X99 Boards i like ASUS although never had one i have heard so many probs with them, and the same with ASROCK but not owning one i cant comment and only go by what i read, 9/10 people only complain when something is bad and you never get to hear of the good parts, but i suppose thats the same with many things. Plus owning PSU and GPU'S from EVGA there support is second to none, so if there is a problem i know it will get sorted.

I have an MSI board and its not close to stable at 4.8ghz on any of my binned chips that are easily doing it on asrock or asus. any pro other than Pepe(works at msi) will tell you MSI is trash..

the specific board I have is the only good thing to come from asrock for x99. they dropped support with z170's popularity and they are probably working on broadwell-k... fthey took forever to roll out the 3.1 (more socket pins) revision

Nick is seemingly the only one who makes the good bioses for them so if hes busy theres no bios. and hes very busy with the matx z170

I know a lot of overclockers who swear by asrock boards..

like I said though x99 I had an soc champ
and my fatality x99m 3.1 tears it up.

I test alot of boards head to head. but only if they are worth trying out. I was mostly drawn to the msi's ram isolation and ln2 features, but damn was it disappointing. I quickly retired it. I have been trying to sell this 300$ boards for 200 shipped for a month.. So yeah its totally 100% grreat board lachen.gif

Shame ASROCK dont do a MATX X99 in black as it may of gave me another option.

yeah... It sucks theres no waterblocks for it either. It was going to make my build look like crap if I went with a different ccolor than red(which wasnt my first choice, since everyone has red and black builds)... Bitspower just released a fullcover for the ITX 3.1 but I don't know how well that really overclocks.. sorta tempted though.

No money for that right now though. and I am trying to sell my x99 so I can have some money for broadwell-k.. And I am not benching right now..

They are getting more popular though so we might see something next time. I might have money when broadwell-k rolls around too and I am probably going to use it for the parvuum build I had to delay.

I thought it was Broadwell-E which is the replacement for Haswell-E. Be good to see your Parvum Build, are you going to do a Project log.
