While I have never used the Formula series of ASRock boards, I can say that my experience with their other boards has been solid. I've had an ASRock board since my Core2Duo and never had an issue... and thats including a sandybridge build, 3 AMD FX builds and 3 haswell builds (ITX). I have found that their features are pretty nice considering their price. I'd figure that the Formula board would work very well for your needs. They may not be the most premium of boards, but if you feel that it would work with your build, fit your theme, and has the features you are looking for, I'd figure that you will have no problems.

Thanks im not actually sure how well it would fit the theme as not sure what shade of yellow gold they actually are. Can't really order and then send back because it doesn't look right can I lol. But does look like the nearest to gold I'm going to get.

The mono block with the gene is a serious option as well.

Makes sense, and in this chipset and with what is on the market, its probably the only close match out there. I looked to see what there might be in just black, and it seems that the mATX offerings for skylake are few and far between. If the monoblock fits your loop order and such, it may just be the best fit aesthetically.

Hmm well loop order isn't sorted yet sorting out motherboard and graphics cards first.

If I do go with the Asus Gene I might then choose to go with the monoblock but first I need decide if I'm going with the Formula OC board or the Gene seem the best out of the offerings

Really hoping hoping after how much I've spent on my case that micro atx form factor isn't dying.

Hey, all. I have the Parvum M1.0 and want to ask... I know it can accommodate up to ATX motherboards, but can it also fit a E-ATX? I have the regular M1.0, just inverted, no other mods.... Thanks smile.gif

This might be a question more suited to the guys at parvum... I myself have an extended M1.0 (fits 360 rad in top), and there is about 2.5 inches between the bottom of the case and motherboard, making me think that an e-ATX should be possible. That being said, I'm not sure how an inverted orientation would affect things if at all.
