Wouldn't it be possible to use an aio with the R1.0 if you were careful about how you assembled it?

That was my original thought - would a LP cooler be enough for a 5820K? It won't be overclocked.

I would probably go for the Be-Quiet LP because I have a window. I prefer noctua but yeah, brown with a window. rolleyes.gif

You probably could use one but you would be able likely have any fans in the front for airflow because they would be to close to the tubing for the CPU Cooler as the rads need to go in the bottom. Honestly in a R1.0 I think using a custom loop is easier than a AIO one. suppose you could do a 120MM AIO and hook it up to the front in a R1.0 but nothing bigger then that and not sure even that would fit.

If its not OC yes should be fine, can still use the Noctua, just use different fans, or as you said the DR one, the only issue you may have is that you would have to becareful with your chosen RAM, aslong as it fits under the cooler you will be fine.

its not a S2.0 but gives you an idea.

I'll probably go with the shadow rock LP and in worst case upgrade to an industrial noctua fan later (got those in my main pc).

The RAM sticks are G.Skill Ripjaws 4 so I guess that should be fine height wise?
