Introduction
So this isn't my first watercooling build, ive done a few, some are listed in my sig. Threw the years of building custom rigs Ive used boards and cases with a variety of size including ATX, mATX, mITX. Ive done several builds in Raven Cases like the RV01 and RV02 with full custom loops, and im now very excited to work with the RV05!
Goals
The "Devil's Lair" will be powered by a i7 4790k aka Devil Canyon partly how i came up with the name for this build. I plan to go all out with this build using top of line parts and big name brands, the overall goal of this build is to be very minimalistic but aggressive and high end looking at the same time.
Hardware list
CPU: Intel i7 4790K
MOBO: Asus Z97 Maximus VII Gene
RAM: G.SKILL Trident X Series DDR3 2400MHz
GPU: TBA
STORAGE: 2x Samsung Evo 1Tb SSD's (not in raid)
CASE: SilverStone Raven RV05
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850w G2
Water cooling parts (not done finalizing what parts i will be using)
CPU / MOBO: TBA
Ram: TBA
GPU: TBA
Rad: TBA
Tubing: PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Crystal Clear
Coolant : Mayhems Raspberry Purple Pastel
Fittings: All compression Fittings and Angled rotaries will be Bitspower in Black Matte
Rez: Undecided
Pump: Undecided
I will update this thread when ever i get parts for this build, my goal is to have this build complete before the launch of Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, but I'm at the mercy of Phanteks and there release history with there other cases are a good sign i will be waiting awhile!
But i promise lots of pics along the way and please feel free to sub if interested!
Looking very nice! Those EVGA power supplies just scream quality. What kind of rad sizes are you looking at? The compact splash showed that you can run a good water cooled system off a 120 and a 240 rad so any more than that is a plus. For the res+pump look into some of ek's combo units, they have all ways tickled my fancy. Until the next update! Adios!

Im not sure about the rad and rez/pump combo I'm going with yet as I'm not 100% sure on the internal layout space in the case yet because there is limited info on it. Worst case scenario 240+240, best case scenario 240+360 , for the pump/rez worst case scenario D5 pump with ek top and ek tube Rez, and best case dual D5 pumps with EK Top!

Ive seen both those videos and have watched them more then once and have also looked at every picture available very closely
Pause the first video at 0:21 seconds it displays the measurements Length 410mm X Width 230mm X Height 450mm. The HWlab 360mm Nemesis has a total height of 398mm leaving a total 52mm/2inches, So it might be possible to fit, but i need the case in person to know forsure if possible! Like i said before it would be best case scenario, if not im more then happy with 240+240!

Figured I haven't posted an update in a little bit so I decided to show some progress on my almost finish logo which I will be in incorporating into my build, have decided exactly how or where yet, but it will be there!
Top logo is were I started and middle pics are progress to the last pic at the bottom where it's near completion, will post the final when done!, let me know what you think so far!
Can I just say that this is turning out to be a hella good looking machine! Are you going for a purple colour scheme? It's my fave colour and when done well I think it looks amazing in computers!

Ya man, blocks are mostly going to be black, except for the CPU , and I'm going to be using Primochills Pearl UV Purple PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing with Phobya UV LED Kit!
This is not the first time trying purple tho, on my "Hydro Raven 2.0" build i tried it twice and didn't work out to my liking, first time i tried Masterkleer UV-reactive Purple which came out in a crappy purple and if that wasn't bad enough it plastized extremely bad! My second run at it was with Primochills Clear Primoflex Advanced LRT with Mayhams Deep Purple Dye, looked really good when you first put in the dye and then the next day it was super faded, and looked crappy in the night so i added Mayhams UV Pink with the Deep Purple which looked awesome at first and then stained the tubes so bad you could barely see threw them.
I'm really hoping Primochills Pearl UV Purple looks much betting with the UV LED kit, fingers crossed!
Not 100% sure on that yet, will start to plan that after I get most the stuff , going for a really clean minimalistic look so I don't want excess tubing everywhere.. Very short runs!
This is very close to my build, only differences are in cooling and size of storage, so am interested to see how it turns out. Good luck with it! Subbed.
