Cheap, $550-600 build for my girlfriend

I'm putting together a build for my girlfriend. Her Sony Vaio laptop isn't cutting it, so I'm going to throw something together. I do not plan on overclocking anything.

She's getting my motherboard (asrock z87 Pro4 from last year) and CPU (i5 4670k). She bought me an i5 4690k and Asrock z97 Pro4 combo deal from Micro center. Grand total $294.85. Still have to do the MIR.

She wants a smaller monitor, so I'm going to get her this Asus 22 inch.

All of her important work will propbaly remain on her laptop, and she plays the same 3-4 gmaes with me, so a relatively small SSD will suffice. I found this PNY.

I got this RAM for slightly cheaper last year, but I guess RAM hasn't gotten much cheaper.

She will use my 4870 and see how things go. No graphics card needed.

Still need to find a case. Looking to spend around $40 on a mid tower.

Looking to scoop up a 600W Corsair PSU. Microcenter has a modular one for $64 Apparently a 500W should suffice.

Need to find a cheap pair of speakers. She uses a headset while gaming because she's always on Skype anyway,

Update:

500W Power Supply

Will need to find DDR3 240 pin 2x4GB (8GB total) for ~$60.

Currently we have $625 budgeted/spent.

all you need is a 400-450W PSU...
for 250$ you can easily snatch a 280/7970 off this forum which will run pretty much most of games on full details at 1080p at around 50fps... YMMV

Thanks for your suggestions. I want to switch over to NVIDIA. My last 3 cards were all AMD. If there's significant savings for a rated/quality PSU that's 500W I'll get it, otherwise I'm using the 600W modular Corsair as a benchmark. She's getting my old Logitech G15 original and MX518. Any case recommendations?

Around $40. I'm pretty sure I bought my Cooler Master CM690 for around this price back in 2008.

I'd rather not spend too much on a SSD. She currently plays TF2, LoL, and Smite with me, so a SSD that doesn't have much memory but is reliable is what I'm going for.

Those are all fine cases, thanks. I'm not seeing much RAM for around $60. Are there any brands that go on sale I should keep an eye out for?

issue with ram is there was a huge fire in a big ram factory a year ago.. since then ram went up and they didn't make much to sustain it's current overprice.. your best luck is 8GB for 69.99 to 80$
