No bluetooth on Asus X550LD

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone of you has this laptop, i recently got one for a friend but although the asus website and review sites mention it should have Bluetooth 4.0 i can't find anything about bluetooth in windows.
Nothing in the bios, Fn +F2 only enables/disables Airplane modus, no bluetooth devices in device manager, no bluetooth in pc settings, no switches on the notebook to turn it off/on..
Windows 8.1

This i find really weird...all the sites mention it has bluetooth yet i don't see it, either something odd is happening or i'm really getting old.

Any ideas?

Full product id Asus X550LD-XX173H-BE-4th i7-4500U

What shop did you get it from?

Generally these days they include Bluetooth on the Wireless NIC, so check your device manager for the hardware ID and see if the model you have been provided has Bluetooth

After some research, your network adapter does in fact support WiFi. If it isn't showing up anywhere, this is an indication that you need to update the driver to the latest version. Also make sure the driver works with your operating system so that it can detect Bluetooth capability.
