IN WIN 901 Case Owners Thread

Hello all -

Forgive me if a thread exists for the IN WIN 901 case, I couldn't find it. I just put together a rig based around the 901 and I'm in love.

After seeing many pics of the 901, I think I would prefer a solid panel on the backside. I don't like seeing all of the plumbing that is usually hidden

You're good. Some buttmad moderator locked the original thread instead of splitting the topic into a owners/discussion thread for no apparent reason.

Looking forward to seeing some builds here, this case is a beauty. Also I recommend including the 904 case in the thread as well. smile.gif

you can definitely fit a hydro cooler inside the case, I used a Corsair H75 and a Noctua full size fan, the only issue I have is that I can't access my network port, so I need to buy a right angle cable or a usb to ethernet adapter. a small sacrifice for the beauty of this case, it was a joy to build in!

Unfinished as I just received the case today, but here is what it looks like:

As a non owner, the 2 things i dislike about this case is
A: it's large, it's not much if any smaller than some mATX cases
B: USB is on the side, not useful if you are facing the front of the case.

EDIT: any more pics of AIO coolers being mounted in side?

yes, I made the same point about the size. it's large for an ITX case. You give up a lot by going ITX, and I could see some people going for a mATX build instead of a big ITX case. This case is definitely form first, and it is a beautiful case.

I suppose it is a bit on the larger side for mini itx, but I needed my new case to have at least one decently placed intake and exhaust fan, ability to house a hydro cooler, side window, able to hold a decent non sfx power supply (I wanted it silent) and nice aesthetics. my only other options were the 250d, air 240, node 804 etc, which have a larger footprint - I did look at smaller cases such as the Compact Flash, but they are just too hard to get hold of!

Motherboard: Asus Z97I Plus
AIO: Corsair H75 - not sure how thick it is, but it's one of the slimmer ones, bought it to fit into my Hadron Air initially
Washers: the silver washers and screws came with the case, probably meant for the PSU
Noise: the whole system is almost silent, thanks to the Aerocool fans (replaced the Noctuas, they were horrible)

No tips really, if the radiator fits it will just slide in, if possible get a network cable that is flat or bendy as you're going to have to squash that in with a bit of your radiator smile.gif

Build is nearly done:

photos don't really do it justice (especially phone photos, sorry) it's strange looking at lit components through smoked glass when the PC is on!

Well i noted for a regular use such as non gaming ITX has all the amenities especially in this case. They could have made it smaller by making the PSU SFX ...well maybe not if it fit 3.5" HDDs those are the same with as an ATX PSU. also the 120mm AIO mounting wouldn't happen either. thos with SFX being not as tall maybe it could have fit an mATX board.

EDIT: Does the H75 not have a WHITE LED?

Well i can look forward that too, so far i have typical intel/asus (z97 plus) / kingston build going, and similar build on the AMD side but, with a gigabyte boards since asus does not have an itx FM2+ mobo.
